How to effectively use Lysol® products?
Each product type includes easy-to-follow instructions to help facilities teams clean spaces efficiently. These instructions can be found on the back of each product label. Below is a general guide on how to use these products effectively. Please note that Lysol® Pro and Lysol® products are intended for surface cleaning only and are not designed for personal use. They should never be applied to the body or food and should always be used as directed.
- Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes: Apply firm pressure while wiping non-porous surfaces and allow the surface to remain visibly wet for 4 minutes. Let the surface air dry.
- Lysol® All-Purpose CLeaner: To disinfect, pre-clean the surface, then spray until the surface is thoroughly wet. Allow the cleaner to sit for 2 minutes before wiping with a paper towel or drying cloth.
- Lysol® Clean & Fresh Multi-Surface Cleaner Pourable: To disinfect, use full strength or dilute 1/4 cup per gallon of warm water. Pre-clean surface, apply until thoroughly wet, and let it sit for 6 minutes before wiping.
How to use Lysol® Toilet Bowl Cleaner?
- Ensure Proper Ventilation: Open a window or turn on a fan to provide adequate ventilation before beginning the cleaning process.
- Prepare the Toilet: Remove any items from the toilet bowl area and ensure the bowl is free of loose debris.
- Wet the Bowl: Flush the toilet to wet the bowl surface. This helps the cleaner cling more effectively.
- Apply the Cleaner: Squeeze the toilet bowl cleaner around the inside rim of the bowl, making sure to reach hard-to-clean areas.
- Let it Sit: Allow the cleaner to sit for 10-15 minutes so it can effectively break down germs, bacteria, and stains.
- Scrub Thoroughly: Using a toilet bowl brush, scrub the entire bowl, paying special attention to under the rim where bacteria and germs commonly build up.
- Flush & Rinse: Flush the toilet to rinse away the remaining product and loosened debris.
